MARRIAGE WORKSHOP

Liberty is be hosting a short seminar for couples interested in strengthening their marriage.

When:

August 18th from 6:30-8:30pm

August 19th from 9-11:30am

Where:

Liberty Evangelical Free Church

The workshop will be led by Jim and Carol Wold, who currently serve with Desert Light Ministries in South Dakota. Jim holds an M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary and an M.Div. from Multnomah Seminary, and Carol, have decades of counseling experience and have been featured speakers at many seminars and retreats.

They are looking forward to spending a weekend at Liberty and sharing valuable biblical insights around the topic of marriage.

$25 per couple. Scholarships available.

Speaker: Sharon Piatt

Sharon Piatt is a wife of 32 years, mother to 3 adult children and their spouses, and grandmother to 11 grandchildren who affectionately call her ‘Nana’. She counts herself blessed to have them all live close by.  Her husband, Jeff, pastors at Lakeside Bible Church in Mobridge, SD, where they have resided since 2003.

Sharon grew up in the northwest corner of Indiana in a Christian home. She married her high school sweetheart and had children on both the eastern and western coasts and the third smack dab in the middle in Kansas City, MO.

She owns a home furnishings store and enjoys helping customers with their home remodeling and furnishing needs, but her real passion is helping women apply God’s Word to their everyday lives.

Sharon has a heart for helping women grow in Christ. She is currently chairman of the church’s ladies group, coordinator of their church’s annual counseling conference, and leads a ladies bible study on Monday nights. She loves speaking at women’s events on various topics. She is an avid reader and her favorite thing to do is cuddle up with a good book about God and a great cup of coffee.

Retreat fees may also be placed in the offering box at the entrance to the sanctuary in an envelope marked for Women’s Retreat and the name of the woman/women you are paying for. Checks should be written to LEFC. Fees will be accepted at the retreat also.
